The Florida Standard Assessments (FSA) measures Florida students in K through 12th grade on achievement of Florida’s education standards. Assessments are in the areas of English Language Arts, Mathematics and End-Of-Course subjects of Algebra 1, Algebra 2 and Geometry. They ensure that all students graduate from high school with the tools to be successful in college, career and life as well as measuring each student’s gains and progress throughout their academic career.
Students in grades 3rd through 10th will take the English Language Arts Reading assessments with students in grades 4th through 10th also participating in the English Language Arts Writing assessment. Students in grades 3rd through 8th will participate in the Mathematics assessment. If a student has completed an Algebra 1, Algebra 2 or Geometry class, they will take that corresponding assessment in lieu of the grade-level math version. The assessments are administered over two days and range in time from in length from 160 to 180 minutes, broken out into shorter sessions.
The Miami center has abundant experience in preparing students for their FSAs, practicing questions, evaluating responses and results and providing personalized training. We understand how important the FSA for your student’s educational career and can help prepare your child to succeed. Just like our other preparation classes, the FSA prep classes are relatively small to provide focused attention. Space is limited, so we encourage you to make your reservation as soon as possible.
